high loft filtration media that is comprised of progressively denser
layers. Plus SmartMedia contains
Polyb and TotalTac,
a technology employed during manufacturing that
results in a softer safer, easier handling media that arrests and holds
dry paint particles – before they escape into the environment.
Furthermore, SmartMedia pads and blankets are compressed prior to
shipping and warehousing to
save space & shipping costs – then return to their normal size for
installation.

Large-diameter fibers in the 1st layer (10 times bigger than in the 3rd
layer) are loosely spaced, coiled and bundled for structural stability and
to capture the larger paint particles. Fibers in the 2nd layer are
engineered
to intercept the mid-sized
overspray particles. The 3rd layer is a dense mat of single-strand,
21-micron fibers. It is especially effective at capturing and retaining
small, dry particles. Some series have a scrim backing, effectively adding a
4th layer.
